Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture is a pre-blended styrene butadiene copolymer. It si supplied as a one component, white liquid designed for modifying portland cement compositions. R-50 Latex Admixture is not affected by moisture after curing, like polyvinyl acetates (PVA) emulsions. R-50 Latex Admixture can also be used with Raeco R-50 Powder as a two component, trowelable topping mix for interior or exterior use applications. Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture contains no solvents or corrosive agents and is VOC compliant. For exterior or interior use when using portland cement compositions.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces to be covered must be structurally sound, clean and free of dust, oil, grease, sealers, curing compounds, laitance, release agents or other surface contaminants. For smooth surfaces, we recommend mechanical abrasion to achieve an acceptable surface profile. The cleaning and preparation method selected depends on both the sub-floor material and its condition. Acid etching is not recommended.
MIXING
DO NOT add water to Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture, product has been pre-blended to meet jobsite conditions.
APPLICATION
Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture is mixed with various proportions of sand and cement depending on job requirements, until the desired trowel consistency is obtained. Refer to Mixing Ratio Chart for project requirements. Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture applications are self-curing under most conditions. In exposed locations where rapid drying conditions occur, coat the repaired area with a slurry of Raeco R-50 Latex Admixture and R-50 Powder.
LIMITATIONS
Do not apply directly over gypsum-based underlayments, vinyl covered wallboard, Masonite, particleboard, asphalt or vinyl sheeting, metal, plastic, glass, strip wood flooring, or plywood in outdoor applications before consulting Raeco's Technical Service Department for proper application over above substrates.
